Description
In conjunction with the exhibition Mary Ellen Mark: Ward 81, on display at the Albin O. Kuhn Library Gallery through May 22, the Library Gallery presents a public program featuring Kaitlin Booher (William and Sarah Ross Soter Associate Curator of Photography, Columbus Museum of Art) and Holly Avella (assistant professor of media studies and data analytics, UMBC).
Before her appointment to the Columbus Museum of Art, Kaitlin Booher served as the Beaumont and Nancy Newhall Curatorial Fellow in the Department of Photography at the Museum of Modern Art, where she worked on a wide range of photography exhibitions and collection installations. With a background in psychology and counseling, Holly Avella's current work focuses on digital mental health and therapeutic platforms, including AI and social media.
Admission is free, and the discussion will be followed by a reception.
